GRAND JUNCTION POLICE DEPARTMENT VICTIM ADVOCACY PROGRAM

Grand Junction, Colorado 81501

October 29, 2003

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this as a letter of recommendation for Dr. Maridel T. Andres.

I have known Maridel in my capacity as the Victim Services Coordinator for the Grand Junction POLiCE Department in Colorado.

Maridel has been a Victim Advocate Volunteer with this program for over two years. During that time, she has proven to be a loyal volunteer who gives generously of her limited time to the program to assist others.

One of Maridel’s unique characteristics is her great intellectual capacity and superior professional training.

She humbly never flaunts this ability, but is capable of drawing on this background for wise insights and advice when needed.

Dr. Andres has been a great help to other

Victim Advocates as well as Police Officers.

I would think that any organization would be greatly enhanced by being associated with Doctor Maridel.

She brings great energy and gentle, warm humor to the workplace.

Sincerely,

Judy Shormann
Victim Services Coordinator (Ret.)
Grand Junction Police Department
State of Colorado
